Girls’ football is growing faster than ever, but with growth brings gaps!
Our mission is simple, make the journey clearer, make the support stronger, and make the system work for EVERY girl.
WE’RE CHANGING THAT!
This isn't just another app.
It's a movement.
A female-first platform where young women in football find what the system has failed to give them: mentorship, pathways, community, and support.
GALZ™ is a protected ecosystem for girls aged 10–20 navigating grassroots to elite football. We're not another app, we're a facilitator, connecting young women to the mentors, pathways, and resources the fragmented system hides from them. Through our ACE Framework™ (Attitude, Connection, Education), we tackle the confidence crisis at 13, the mental health gap that leaves elite players struggling in silence, and the dropout wave that costs football half its talent by 16. We curate opportunities. We build safe communities. We normalise the hard conversations - mental health, nutrition, career planning beyond the pitch. Because when a girl knows where she's going, who's supporting her, and what she's capable of, she doesn't just stay in the game. She changes it.
We don’t just help girls start, our built-in retention system is designed to keep them engaged, supported, and progressing through every stage of their football journey.
The Reality Facing Our Girls Today…
4 in 10 girls drop out by age 16
1 in 3 elite players struggle with disordered eating
A significant proportion of elite female players report unmet psychological-support needs
Parents don't know the pathways
Girls lose confidence
Mental health support is almost non-existent
This isn't just a sports issue. It's a confidence crisis. A wellbeing crisis. An equality crisis.
We're losing a generation of leaders before they've even had a chance to lead.
How we
do it differently

The Founder
Loryn Copperthwaite
"I am working to create opportunities for women to thrive — in football, business, and life."
I didn’t have a pathway. Growing up with ADHD in a challenging home and an all-girls Convent school, there was little room for the “problem child.” The trauma at home - a place that should have felt safe and secure, combined with the lack of real school support, left me feeling segregated, alone, and isolated from sport. I spent years navigating life, business, and motherhood without understanding why certain things felt harder, why I had to work twice as hard to prove I belonged. In 2024, I was finally diagnosed with ADHD. That diagnosis didn't slow me down, it lit a fire. It gave me clarity. And it made me determined to ensure no girl has to fight the same battles I did, alone and without support.
That's why I founded GALZ™. I built it to give girls what I didn't have: a clear pathway, a safe community, mentors who understand, and the tools to thrive no matter where their journey takes them. Alongside this work, I run Essex Lab Studio, a beauty training academy where I mentor aspiring professionals, and I work as a freelance sports photographer with football academies, capturing the moments that showcase young athletes' potential. I'm Enhanced DBS certified because safeguarding isn't optional, it's foundational. And as a mother of two daughters, every decision I make is rooted in one question: is this the world I want them to grow up in? If the answer is no, I change it. That's what this movement is about - building the future our daughters deserve, one where every girl has the tools, support, and pathway to win.
